Short Bio:

Dr. Lemuel Gbologah is a materials engineer, senior academic, and international research leader with over two decades of experience in university teaching, research, educational administration, and global collaboration. He currently serves as the Director of the Sino-Ghana Research Center for West Africa (SGRC-WA) at the Hubei University of Automotive Technology, where he provides strategic leadership for interdisciplinary research on West Africa–China relations, promotes global academic partnerships, mentors postgraduate students, and oversees policy-oriented research and publications.

He holds a PhD in Materials Engineering from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, and a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Materials Science and Engineering from Central South University, Changsha, Hunan, China. He also earned a First Class B.A. (Hons) in Industrial Art (Ceramics) from KNUST. His academic training spans engineering ceramics, powder metallurgy, nanomaterials, composite materials, and sustainable industrial materials.

Before joining HUAT, Dr. Gbologah progressed through the academic ranks at KNUST from Assistant Lecturer to Senior Lecturer, and served in multiple leadership roles, including Deputy College Examinations Officer, Department Examinations Officer, and Program Coordinator. His career uniquely integrates advanced materials engineering, sustainability research, higher education governance, and international development consultancy, positioning him as a strong bridge between engineering innovation and Africa–China cooperation.
